Yingkou LNG Project | Three Lightning Early Warning Systems by Anhui Jinli Successfully Installed and Commissioned
Oct 28, 2026Proactive early warning strengthens safety defenses, enabling facilities to shift from passive lightning protection to active, preemptive monitoring!
LNG facilities are high-risk, flammable, and explosive environments, requiring stringent lightning protection for storage tank areas and loading/unloading zones. Traditional measures—such as lightning rods and Surge Protective Devices (SPDs)—are passive; they only function to dissipate energy after a lightning strike occurs. In the event of sudden thunderstorms, these methods cannot anticipate risks in advance, making it difficult to mitigate safety hazards for high-risk outdoor operations.
Recently, the Yingkou LNG project reached a key milestone: three lightning early warning systems from Anhui Jinli were successfully installed, commissioned, and put into operation, establishing a reliable, proactive lightning early warning framework for the port area.
Leveraging core atmospheric electric field monitoring technology, Anhui Jinli’s lightning early warning system captures real-time changes in the local electric field. It accurately identifies the formation, movement, and intensification of thunderclouds, issuing tiered lightning alerts. These alerts can trigger on-site audible and visual alarms while simultaneously notifying remote monitoring platforms, allowing operations teams to halt high-risk outdoor tasks and initiate emergency protocols well in advance—enabling proactive management of lightning risks.
Anhui Jinli provides comprehensive, intelligent lightning protection services—ranging from site surveys and customized solution design to equipment supply, installation, and system commissioning. Its products and solutions are widely deployed in high-risk industrial settings, including petrochemical and oil & gas facilities, ports, terminals, and energy storage power stations.
